Approved activities, programs, and projects take place within one or more program areas including business and industrial development, community, natural resources, tourism, and recreation development. Program roles involve providing regional development leadership, technical assistance, economic research, and the improvement of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough's natural resources. Through Mat-Su RC&D's knowledge and expertise with private, state and federal grant programs, we provide funding information and assistance to local entities to bring those grants and federal funding to the region. To carry out the RC&D concept, diverse groups of local volunteers are brought together in a unique partnership to find solutions to their problems.
